Digital therapeutics company Jogo Health raises $2 million

Jogo Health (Bridgewater, N.J.) — a startup with a prescription digital therapeutics approach to train the brain to restore muscle function — has raised more than $2 million.
The company has raised about $2.1 million of the $2.5 million it sought in the offering, with 26 investors involved, according to a Form D filed with the SEC today.
Jogo Health’s Jogo technology includes wireless s/EMG sensors for feedback and a patent-protected mobile app with treatment protocols and games that can be adapted for muscle relaxation, movement coordination, and neuromuscular reeducation. Jogo could help treat the neuromuscular effects of stroke, spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, bell’s palsy,  and urinary and fecal incontinence, according to the company.
EMG-biofeedback isn’t new, but it’s been historically tried with large probes and machines; Jogo Health officials say the company is touting a more inexpensive, mobile approach.
