Preventice taps Medtronic exec as new CCO

Preventice Solutions announced today that it appointed former Medtronic executive Tom Sheehy as its new executive vice president and chief commercial officer, effective immediately.
Sheehy previously served as a senior area sales director for the diagnostics and coronary sales team at medtech giant Medtronic (NYSE:MDT). He also held a national sales leadership role, integrating TYRX antibiotic envelopes with the pacemaker sales team at Medtronic, along with three years as VP of Afib sales for the company’s cryoablation technology.
In his new role at Preventice, Sheehy is slated to lead the company’s commercial organization, including sales, marketing and product management. He is set to report directly to CEO Jon Otterstatter at Preventice.
Minneapolis-based Preventice designs mobile health solutions and remote monitoring services for patients with cardiac arrhythmias. Itswearables include the PatientCare platform and BodyGuardian family of monitors.
