Resonetics acquires Agile MV

Resonetics today announced that it has acquired Agile MV for an undisclosed amount.

As part of the acquisition, Nashua, N.H.-based Resonetics will rebrand its existing Design and Development Services business as Agile Product Development. It will have locations in Boston, San Diego, and Montreal with a common focus on quality, innovation, and agility, according to the company.

Montreal, Quebec-based Agile MV is a product development and turnkey device assembly company specializing in the design, development, and manufacturing of minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic medical devices. It has a team of engineers, scientists and technicians that can help companies take projects from conception to high-volume manufacturing.

“Agile MV adds industry-leading expertise in state-of-the-art minimally invasive therapeutic and diagnostic medical devices, notably for electrophysiology catheters using pulsed-field and cryotherapy ablation technologies. This and their broad interventional device experience complements Resonetics’ existing development capabilities in catheter-based delivery systems and implants,” Resonetics President and CEO Tom Burns said in a news release. “Agile’s core values of quality, speed and partnership align perfectly with our culture at Resonetics.”

Resonetics, which serves the electrophysiology and cardiology catheter market, has 15 facilities across the world with more than 2,000 associates in the U.S., Canada, Costa Rica, Israel and Switzerland.
