RMS Medical rebrands as Koru Medical Systems

Infusion system-maker RMS Medical (NDSQ:REPR) said today that it is rebranding as Koru Medical Systems, effective tomorrow.
The newly branded Koru Medical Systems said it will commence trading its common stock under the new ticker symbol “KRMD” on the NASDAQ market tomorrow as well. The company’s email address domain will change to @korumedical.com and its website is set to change to www.korumedical.com, according to a news release.
“Our decision to rebrand the company reflects the great strides we have made in evolving our corporate culture, mission and philosophy to a more patient-centric focus,” president & CEO Don Pettigrew said in prepared remarks. “The rebranding is inspired by the koru, a widely recognized symbol of a spiral-shaped, unfurling fern that represents new life and new beginnings. Koru Medical Systems’ focus on providing patients’ new beginnings with our at-home infusion systems is at the heart of our brand.”
The Chester, N.Y.-based company develops, manufactures and commercializes specialty infusion devices such as the Freedom syringe infusion system for the administration of infusions at home and in alternate care settings.
Shares of REPR were up 1.5% at $3.95 per share in midday trading today.
